Topaz is believed to protect its wearer from greed. Topaz is the traditional birthstone for those born in the month of November. Topaz is used for strength. It is Considered a warming gem. In the Middle Ages it was thought that Topaz could cure the plague. Some say that Topaz helps with eye problems if you dip the stone in wine and rub the eyelids with it before going to bed.
