**Class type (basic, wire, knotting or dream necklace) is determined by the first student to register if no class type is indicated.

Alumni of any class will receive a 15% discount on regularly priced beads and beading supplies in our shop (finished jewelry, gifts, bulk and sale items excluded).

Classes are filled on a first come first served basis. There will be no more than 5 people in any class. Classes with only one student may be canceled. Class Descriptions

Basic Necklace Class is the most basic class and includes a description of types of beads and tools as well as instructions on finishing (ending with a clasp) a necklace or bracelet using the bead tip method and using the crimp bead method. You will need to bring 10-15 inches of beads, two chain nose pliers(no teeth or ridges), a crimp plier, an awl, a snipper or sharp scissor. If you do not already own tools, inexpensive, high quality tools can be purchased at our shop and you will be assured of having the correct items. Class runs about two (2) hours. Cost: $25

Basic Wire Manipulation is the next level of beading. This wire technique allows you to create pendants, earrings and dangles using beads drilled through the center and side-drilled. You will learn to make jump rings, open loops and wrapped loops. You will need to bring a few beads, two chain nose pliers (no teeth or ridges), a wire cutter, a round nose plier, a spool of 20 gauge craft wire for practice. If you do not already own tools, inexpensive, high quality tools can be purchased at our shop and you will be assured of having the correct items. Class runs about two (2) hours. Cost: $25

Knotting is a more traditional, but slightly more complex technique. There will be a description of types of knotting cords and preparing silk and you will learn two techniques for tying knots. You will need 10-15 inches of beads with good holes, a beading awl, a sharp scissor/embroidery scissor and a chain nose plier. If you do not already own tools, inexpensive, high quality tools can be purchased at our shop and you will be assured of having the correct items. Class runs about two (2) hours. Cost: $40

Dream Necklace is a class for those who have done some beading and basic wirework, but have dreamt up a complicated showy piece. The group will brainstorm with jewelry designer of 20 years, Marlene, to come up with ways to make your idea a reality. You will need to bring the beads that you want to work with, a legal pad and pen for drawing ideas, two chain nose pliers, a round nose plier, an awl, a crimp plier, a wire cutter and a beading wire cutter or sharp scissor. Cost: $40
